 MME'S Modality

The modality of operations shall be as follows:

  1. Nepalese remitter will go to the bank where MME has an account, money will be deposited in this account of MME in the concerned international bank and the remitter will receive a deposit voucher. The bank will accept Remittance Amount from Nepalese remitter with appropriate ID and valid VISA and deposit the collected amount in MME's account.

  2. After deposit, the remitter will submit the deposit voucher to the MME international representative, in the country of the remitter, who will record and reconfirm with the bank. After reconfirmation, he will send to MME head office security code no. and the details of beneficiaries for releasing payment.

  3. MME head office will verify the deposit through online verification mode; and after verification, MME will instruct the concerned national representative in the nearest destination where the beneficiary is located to release payment. After payment, the national representative will inform MME head Office.

  4. The beneficiary will receive payment from the national representative of MME after producing relevant ID documents. The national representative shall keep records of all payments made to the beneficiaries.

  5. The bank overseas where MME has an account will transfer the foreign currency to MME's account in Kathmandu,.Nepal. The international representative and the international bank shall provide weekly statements to MME head office.

  6. Then commercial bank in Nepal will transfer such remittance in Nepalese currency to the account of national representative of MME at the instruction of MME head office. After settlement, the bank branches and the national representative will provide the statement to MME head office.

In order to adhere to the NRB and SCB/Nepal policies and instruction, MME shall not collect cash from its overseas operations. All the remittance shall be deposited in the bank account of MME. MME will submit monthly statements to NRB. The software provided by MME shall have browser facility so that messages can relayed instantly from MME national or international branches. Even MME can deposit in the banks accounts of the beneficiaries.
